We have some very special offers on at the moment.  Content by Conran furniture has always been popular both in our shop and on the web and the 59th Street is one of the best selling pieces.  I think of all the range of sofas the 59th Street is the most iconic and defines Sir Terence Conran's style.  It amazes me to think that Sir Terence has been at the cutting edge of furniture design for over 50 years and that his work is as relevant now as it was when he created Habitat.   The 59th Street sofa was named after the address of his showroom in Manhattan.  The rumor is that having created the design on the back of a napkin in a New York restaurant Sir Terence was unable to think of a name for the design.  The waiter was called for help and immediately suggested the address of the showroom.  Apocryphal as the story may be I love it and I love this sofa. 

The 59th Street has a choice of sizes and a chair option and the 'ski' leg sets it apart.  It is firm to sit on, surprisingly comfortable and compact.  Choose plain fabric for best results this piece also looks fab in leather.  Right now we have a big discount on Conran sofas. 

The PH5 design by Poul Henningsen has recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. So to mark this occasion, Louis Poulsen have introduced a special version of the classic fixture, PH50. The PH5 was first introduced at the exhibition "Glass light and colours" at the Danish museum of Art & Design in Copenhagen in 1958. At the time, the fixture was introduced as a classic novelty. As time has gone by, PH5 has become one of the best selling PH fixtures in the world and a supreme example of the completely glare-free fixture with its combined three-shade fixture creating both a downlight and diffused room illumination! The new PH50 version comes in five stunning new colours in a high-lustre finish. The new bright colours are Chilli Red, Mint Blue, Wasabi Green, Coconut White and Olive Black. I love the new colours, they lend an even stronger intensity to this world famous design icon!

I was very excited to meet local artist Jo Ludbrook recently.  Since moving to Norfolk from Australia Jo has been building on her success 'down there' to gain an enviable reputation here for beautiful and unique cushions.  The designs are very exoctic and often use silks and trimming detail to build layers of colour and texture.  I have them in my shop on display and now available on the site.  Using these cushions to add a jewel like sparkle to a modern design or to build up Moorish rich luxurious interiors.  All these cushions are one off designs hand made by Jo. We at Interior Selection are pleased to announce the return of the iconic 'Glove' chair by Content by Conran.

Originally released in 2003 with huge publicity and interest , the Glove chair has claimed its place as a design classic due to its recent come back this year. It's relaunch was requested by the public and by Terence Conran himself who regards the Glove as his biggest achievement!

The new Glove chair stays true to its original design, and now available as a stunning monochromatic white gloss shell and black leather upholstery. My belief is to invest in good design and select one off design pieces  you cannot live without, the Glove chair is of no exception, a true conversation piece and my favourite product so far this year!
